Tanqueray earned her
conformation, open field and obedience titles all in 1988.
She went
Reserve at the SCGSF Specialty under Ernest Tebbs in 1987
and finished
with three majors from the Bred-by class. Tanqueray was
the #1 Saluki
in obedience for '88, winning the ASA's Rancho Gabriel and
Chamois
perpetual trophies. As a Special, she took BOS at the '91
SCOA National
Specialty in Lexington in an entryof 437 Salukis, an Award
of Merit at
the '90
SCGSF Specialty under Sharon Kinney and another Award of
Merit from the
Veteran Class at a '99 ASA TSE. Her open field coursing
title was
earned
in 5 consecutive hunts and she ranked in NOFCA's Top Ten
Salukis for
1988.
She was bred twice, producing title holders in field,
obedience and

Tequila
was
a gorgeous shaded red and inherited the fluid easy
movement of his
sire's line with the soundness of his dam's. He finished
his title at
the '89 GBSC Specialty under Valerie Stringer of
England. His
soft, faithful expression and dignity coupled with
a wonderfully
intelligent, almost human personality made him a
favorite of many.
Tequila sired four litters, producing title holders in
conformation,
field and obedience. Owned by Mark Gladstone.

Napoleon spent the first several years of his life as the beloved pet of an acclaimed artist. We "borrowed" him for a weekend of shows and his debut in the ring resulted in winning the Open Dog class at the '90 PSSC Specialty and a Best of Breed over 7 Specials for a 5-point major the following day. When his owner tragically died, his show career began in earnest and he quickly finished his title, earning another 5-pt. major along the way. Bred once, he produced four champions. |

Like her littermates, Kirsten was moderate, compact and very sound. As the beloved companion of a talented artist and craftswoman, she was rarely shown, preferring her life on the Russian River to the show ring. However, she had numerous major Reserves, including one at the 1990 ASA TSE at Del Valle and was major pointed with half her championship completed. Owned by Laura Longefellow. |
