Bentley came from the first litter whelped under the Timaru prefix and was our first homebred champion. He took his first major at the '84 PSSC Specialty and completed his championship by taking Best of Breed over 6 BISS and Top Ten Specials. He earned the ASA's Rancho Gabriel, Abram Open and Chamois perpetual obedience trophies and had one leg towards his Utility Dog degree (UD). He was also pointed in open field coursing, but was retired from that endeavor after he took up the habit of jumping OVER barbed wire fences. He sired two litters and produced four champions, including Ch. Timaru Tanqueray, CD, CC and Ch. Timaru Tequila. Bentley was a very special dog. |
